One of my favorite
independent superheroes is Dark Horse Comics' Ghost. Beautifully illustrated
by Adam Hughes when it came out, it combined with a pulp feel and made
this a truly exceptional comic. When I began to mod Heroclix, I knew
she had to be one of the first characters I attempted to do. Built on
an Ultimate Black Widow frame, I filed down the original figure, then
sculpted everything else using Green Stuff. The "rookie" version,
shown here was my first attempt. As you can see, I hadn't perfected
a technique for giving her cape any motion. My second attempt, on an
"experienced" base of the same figure was much more successful
(seen below). Even
so, I was pretty proud of how this one came out. It was the first female
face I painted and I was quite happy with the results.
