Yeah, yeah - I know...this isn't REALLY Nightwing. It's Robin. But since my plan was to make all of the Teen Titans, it made sense (to me, at least) to make "Mr. Shortpants." Of course, with the recent announcement of a classic Robin in Icons from WizKids, it takes a little wind out of the sail of this mod. But overall, I'm still pretty happy with how my Dick Grayson version of Robin came out. To build Robin, I used the torso and legs from a standard Nightwing figure, the head from a Gotham Undercover figure and the arms from a Blue Beetle. All are shaved and sanded down and put back together with glue and Green Stuff. Then I sculpted the cape and accessories around the assembled figure and painted with black primer and Reaper paints. |

| The modern look. I like the recently streamlined look to this costume more than the bulkier version WizKids made, especially around the boots area. As such, I shaved that part down and sanded it out. A primer and repaint later - here you go. | ||||||||

Ahh, the classic Perez costume. I must have read the Teen Titans annual where Grayson adopted this look a hundred times when I got it. Remember when a costume change MEANT something? Anyway, I've always had an affinity for this particular costume. I may have gone a little crazy with the size of the collar, but as one of my first mods I was pretty happy with the results. This one was built on a standard Nightwing fig with the collar and accessories sculpted with Green stuff. This was painted with a white primer and Games Workshop paints. |
