Before becoming today's Atom Smasher of JSA fame, Al Rothstein started his superhero career with Infinity, Inc. as NUKLON! Created in the 80's, poor Al was a victim of the "cool" factor that plagues so many characters, dating them immediately. Thus the mohawk.

I hold hope that Wizkids will eventually give us an Atom Smasher. Alas, I fear this is the only way anyone will ever see Al in his true Heroclix Rookie form.

Nuklon was made from a Rookie Yellowjacket, chopped and filed smooth, then put back together with a slightly more dramatic pose. Mohawk is courtesy of a Green/Brown Stuff blend of my own design. Definitely one of my favorite mods that I've done.
