When selecting
the base parts, my general philosophy is to use as few individual parts
as I can to get a figure I can be happy with. With a complicated figure
like Omega Red, I know that's going to be difficult. In addition, I know
certain parts are going to have to be sculpted from scratch. But we'll
worry about that later. |

For
now, we'll start with the lower body of an Infinity Challenge Sabretooth.
I like the power and animation the legs of this figure bring. Plus, they're
smooth and free of adornment, which means less shaving and sanding later.
Assuming they'll match up, I'm also going to use Sabretooth's arms. |

To
get the over muscled, barrel-chested look, I'm going to use a Legacy Demon
for the upper body. In fact, after close observation, I'm also going to
use the Demon's head after shaving off his ear fins and horns. |

In
a shock to no one, I'm going to use the Infinity Challenge Constrictor's
coils for Omega Red's carbonadium tentacles. |

And
finally, I'm going to use a ponytail from Hypertime's Dove. |

Now,
I realize there are other things I'll need to make this a convincing Omega
Red, but at this point I'm assuming those will all happen at the sculpting
stage. |
