Building a Better Rogue
Part I

Oscar Wilde once said "Society produces rogues, and education makes one rogue cleverer than another." To you in 'Clix society, I hope the education I give here gives you the ability to make the cleverest Rogue ever!

Welcome to the first Dorway Studios tutorial. I feel I must start with a disclaimer. This tutorial is not to show how to mod a figure the cheapest, the best, or the only way. The point of the tutorial is to show you, how *I* will create the mod. Are there other ways, cheaper ways, or better ways? Possibly to probably. But part of the fun of learning (at least to me) is seeing how someone else approaches a problem and experimenting until you find a way that works for YOU. The following is MY method.

Step One - Research

Comics are by their nature, fickle - different artists, different writers, different editors, all contribute to a certain…inconsistency from issue to issue, page to page and most importantly to what we're trying to accomplish view to view of the same character. I've found the best way to overcome this is research. Gather as many issues of the character as you can and find, at minimum, a good front view and a good back view of the character. Personally, I try to get no less than four pictures from varying angles before starting. The images I'm using are included below. (Click to enlarge.)
