When
selecting the base parts, my general philosophy is to use as few individual
parts as I can to get a figure I can be happy with. |

In
this case, I know the primary piece is going to be Firestar. I've found
this piece to be among the most versatile for modding female characters.
Since Rogue is a flier, this piece should work really well for her svelte
flying form. |

Given
the era we want this character to represent, her head and hair are important.
In this case, I don't think we could find a better representation than
Polaris! |

Finally,
while Firestar has a perfect figure, I think I want to show a little more
of Rogue's aggressive attitude in her arms, specifically in her right
arm. And, since we're already chopping off Polaris' head, we might as
well use her arms as well! |

Now,
my plan at this point is to use ONLY Polaris' right arm
however,
I'm aware that Polaris and Firestar are not built identically, so after
stripping paint, I may discover I have to use her left arm too so they
match one another. |
