For Rogue,
we'll start by attaching the second leg. |
Mix your
Green Stuff, about the size of a pea. |
Next,
put a small amount of the Green Stuff in the torso's leg hole. |
Put a
drop of Zap-a-Gap on the leg stem and insert into the torso's hole. |
Remove
any excess Green Stuff around the hole and smooth out the joint. |
Now,
let's move on to the first of the arms. Start by drilling a hole in the
center of the cut side of the shoulder. Be careful not to drill all the
way through the arm. |
Remove
the pin vice from the hole. You may need to clean the hole with your Xacto
knife to ensure a flat surface. |
Cut a
length of wire longer than you think you need, maybe about 1/4 of an inch. |
Fit the
wire into the hole made in the arm to ensure it fits cleanly. Once you
ensure it does, remove the wire. |
Place
a small drop of Zap-a-Gap on the wire and re-insert into the hole. Allow
to dry (about five minutes). |
Line
the shoulder area of torso over the wire, pressing just hard enough to
make a small mark. Use the pin vice to drill a hole at that mark. Again,
be careful not to drill all the way through and you may need to clean
the hole with your Xacto knife to ensure a flat surface. |
Fit the
two pieces together, trimming the wire down as necessary. The pieces don't
have to be flush; they have to look right together. This will require
some imagination. Once the wire is the proper size, remove the arm. |
Place
a small amount of Green Stuff to surround the wire on the arm. |
Place
a drop of Zap-a-Gap on the end of the wire and insert into the torso,
pressing the two pieces together and adjust as necessary. |
Using
your finger or a small tool, remove any excess Green Stuff and smooth
at the joint. |
Repeat
this process with the other arm. |
Now that
we have a solid trunk to work with, we can go about attaching the head. |
Next,
put a small amount of the Green Stuff in the head's hole. |
Put a
drop of Zap-a-Gap on the torso stem and insert into the head's hole. |
Remove
any excess Green Stuff around the hole and let the figure dry for at LEAST
another 4 hours...again, I'm letting it set overnight. After that, we
have our base figure for Rogue. |
