Building a Better Rogue
Part VI - Pinning, 1- TWO!
For Rogue, we'll start by attaching the second leg.
Mix your Green Stuff, about the size of a pea.
Next, put a small amount of the Green Stuff in the torso's leg hole.
Put a drop of Zap-a-Gap on the leg stem and insert into the torso's hole.
Remove any excess Green Stuff around the hole and smooth out the joint.
Now, let's move on to the first of the arms. Start by drilling a hole in the center of the cut side of the shoulder. Be careful not to drill all the way through the arm.
Remove the pin vice from the hole. You may need to clean the hole with your Xacto knife to ensure a flat surface.
Cut a length of wire longer than you think you need, maybe about 1/4 of an inch.
Fit the wire into the hole made in the arm to ensure it fits cleanly. Once you ensure it does, remove the wire.
Place a small drop of Zap-a-Gap on the wire and re-insert into the hole. Allow to dry (about five minutes).
Line the shoulder area of torso over the wire, pressing just hard enough to make a small mark. Use the pin vice to drill a hole at that mark. Again, be careful not to drill all the way through and you may need to clean the hole with your Xacto knife to ensure a flat surface.
Fit the two pieces together, trimming the wire down as necessary. The pieces don't have to be flush; they have to look right together. This will require some imagination. Once the wire is the proper size, remove the arm.
Place a small amount of Green Stuff to surround the wire on the arm.
Place a drop of Zap-a-Gap on the end of the wire and insert into the torso, pressing the two pieces together and adjust as necessary.
Using your finger or a small tool, remove any excess Green Stuff and smooth at the joint.
Repeat this process with the other arm.
Now that we have a solid trunk to work with, we can go about attaching the head.
Next, put a small amount of the Green Stuff in the head's hole.
Put a drop of Zap-a-Gap on the torso stem and insert into the head's hole.
Remove any excess Green Stuff around the hole and let the figure dry for at LEAST another 4 hours...again, I'm letting it set overnight. After that, we have our base figure for Rogue.
